Handmade Jewelry From Homegrown Gourds
In a cold stone basement in rural Southeast Minnesota, I create jewelry from homegrown and dried gourds. I was fascinated growing gourds in my backyard garden and found that once dried they take color beautifully while having their own intriguing mottled texture. They are also incredibly light and I was able to create larger pieces, particularly earrings that were featherlight and a joy to wear. I pride my work on being sustainable and handmade from the ground up. I really hope you love this jewelry as much as I do.

Sustainability is at the core of the Gourdgeous Jewelry brand. We pride ourselves on sourcing materials and adhering to processes that are sustainable and good for the next generation of gourd lovers! That’s why most of the Gourdgeous Jewelry gourds are grown in my own backyard or sourced from Winona County. Gourds themselves are an extremely wonderful source of food for pollinators and are a fun crop to grow with kiddos young and old!
